Barbara Goodsitt

Barbara Goodsitt teaches colored pencil techniques at Washtenaw Community College and Ann Arbor Community Education & Recreation. Her art work is exhibited in juried shows and galleries, and she is a published illustrator for many clients including the University of Michigan Press. She is also an active member of the Colored Pencil Society of America. 

Ms. Goodsitt is a contemporary realist.  As a professional illustrator, she can carry the precision of illustration into her fine art.  She presents common objects in unusual and interesting ways and she enjoys exploring exciting ranges of color, texture & light.  Each stroke is applied with the spirit of the subject matter in mind. Inspiration comes from the beauty and simplicity found in nature or things we encounter everyday that can be overlooked in our hurried lives.
