Artist Profile

Felicia Macheske

Mediums: Pencil and Graphite, Pastel, Painting, Oil, Mosaics, Drawing, Acrylic

Felicia Macheske's paintings and drawings are result of her love of making things and her quest to learn about and establish a connection with nature and art. For Felicia, creating art begins with observations of the natural world, and results in recording her reactions with layers of color, marks, and texture. This process allows room for play, discovery, and invention. Felicia?s work is most often created with pastel on paper or oil on canvas, but she also enjoys experimenting with other materials. Her inspiration comes from the beauty she finds along any trail she has an opportunity to walk.

Felicia received a BFA from Central Michigan University and an MFA from Arizona State University. Aside from painting, she also works as a book designer at a small publishing company in Ann Arbor.

Felicia?s work is held in private and corporate collections and has been exhibited in solo and juried shows. Her work is represented by the River Gallery in Chelsea, Michigan:
