ONGOING CREATIVE OFFERINGS:

Non-Instructed Life Drawing/Painting - Life drawing is an exercise that benefits all creative mediums, and this group hires a model for non-instructed lsessions each week. There's a $5 drop-in fee, and the group meets every Saturday from 10am - 1pm at Eastern Michigan University in the Sherzer Building, Room 201

Plein Air Painting Sessions- AAWA artists meet monthly to paint/draw outdoors in various local beauty spots. Sessions normally begin at 10am and end when you're done. Bring lunch, art materials, and whatever the weather calls for. Come paint/draw, have lunch, have fun, and follow this great art tradition. Portrait Studio Sessions - Portraiture presents the greatest challenge to the artist... and offers the most satisfaction. This group meets weekly at the Northfield Senior Center on Main Street in Whitmore Lake on Mondays from 1:00pm to 3:30pm for clothed figure drawing/painting. $6 fee. Saturday Morning Artists - a local group of diverse artists who meet at the University of Michigan School of Art and Design on Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. throughout the academic school year. A wide of variety of art techniques and projects are explored weekly, and there is no cost for attending (although there may be minimal material fees, depending on the project).
