Ongoing Non-Juried Exhibits

Active members are encouraged to participate in the following non-juried exhibit opportunities at local businesses throughout Ann Arbor (hanging dates are announced in our newsletters and emailed announcements), where many members have had their artwork purchased without any commission charged by the sites.

A flat fee of $5 per artist is charged per hanging (regardless of the number of pieces hung), and is collected by the site coordinators at the time of hanging.

Shows change every 8-12 weeks, depending on the site, and all work must remain hanging for the show's duration.

All work should be framed, wired, and ready to hang with contact information attached to the back. Please note: Although these exhibitions are non-juried exhibitions, unsuitable works (improperly framed; damaged or poorly constructed; inappropriate subject matter, etc.) will be refused.

A $5 penalty is charged for each piece that is not picked up at the appointed time at all exhibitions, and AAWA is not responsible for work not picked up at the conclusion of exhibitions.

All artists should make sure that their artwork is covered by their homeowners insurance, as not all of our venues cover liability for loss or damage.
